Community Service

We participate in community service efforts in Stoneham and beyond with great success and a lot of fun. We enjoy giving back to our community and educating people on the importance of dental health.

  • Dr. Cara Lund and her dental assistants Mary and Carol volunteered on the Mobile Access to Care (MAC) Van. This access-to-care program focuses on addressing the oral health needs of the state's underserved children. The MAC Van has been traveling to those communities throughout Massachusetts with the greatest oral health needs, providing free oral health services to low-income children. As of June 1, 2009, the MAC Van has treated more than 3,750 children representing $864,830 worth of free care.

  • Every February, National Dental Health Month, Dr. Cara Lund and her dental assistants Mary and Carol visit local elementary schools to talk to the children about how to keep their teeth happy and healthy. The students are always wonderful and ask great questions.

  • Our office on several occasions participated in the Masonic Child Identification Program by taking toothprint bite impressions and DNA swabs of several hundred children.

  • Every year we sponsor a Stoneham little league team. Make sure to keep on the lookout for team Lund Dental!
